Papa John has come a long way from the bedraggled, grumpy outdoor kitty he used to be. When he first came into foster, he was standoffish and unsure, but his foster mom discovered his secret: he absolutely LOVES being pet with an extendable backscratcher! With a lot of patience and a lot of love, this stout gentleman has fully come out of his shell. Now he adores pets, wants to be wherever his person is, and offers up the tiniest little meows you would never expect from a guy his size. He has even started playing with toys! Every evening he sits and waits for his pets, and come wet food time, he will rub against your legs to let you know it is dinner time. He isn't fond of being picked up, but loves to sit next to you and chill. At about 5 years old, with one permanently, adorably flopped ear, Papa John is proof that the best cats sometimes just need someone to show them how good indoor life can be. Come meet this sweet, mellow man and give him the forever couch he has earned.
