Hi everyone… it’s me, Kohler. I’m an estimated 6‑year‑old long‑haired buff boy, and my foster mom calls me her gentle giant. I’ve been through a lot, but I’m finally ready to find my forever home.
If you remember my story, you know I had a serious open neck wound that needed not one, but two surgeries. It was scary, and I was in rough shape. The truth is, without the support of this amazing community, I wouldn’t be alive today. From the bottom of my fluffy heart, thank you for saving me.
Now I’m healed, feeling safe, and showing everyone what a sweet, calm, grateful boy I am. I love soft pets, quiet moments, and being near people who make me feel secure. I may look big, but inside I’m just a soft, loving soul who wants a peaceful home and someone to adore.
I’m also FIV+, which sounds big and scary, but it really isn’t. FIV+ cats can live long, healthy, normal lives with good care. It isn’t contagious to humans or dogs, and it only spreads to other cats through deep bite wounds — not through sharing bowls, toys, or snuggling. With a safe indoor home and regular vet care, I can thrive just like any other cat.
I’m ready now. Ready for love, for safety, for a family who sees the gentle heart behind the big fluffy mane. If you’re looking for a calm, grateful, affectionate boy who survived the impossible and still believes in people, I’m waiting for you.
Love, Kohler
