I'm ready for my new family!

Ares is a 5-year-old, 17lb beefcake of a cat who was found as part of a feral colony in the Carlisle area. He was initially released again after being fixed due to not socializing well, but after another two months in the wilderness he was re-trapped and discovered to have transformed from a wild man hunting for mice and birds to a big teddy bear who only hunts for chin scratches and squeeze treats.

Despite sharing a name with the God of War, this big muscular guy is anything but. Ares is a shy, gentle giant who gets along well with other cats and is very loving with people once he learns to trust you. He loves treats, cuddling, and has a strange obsession with beards (bonus points to any adopters with facial hair!) He may take some time to warm up, but once he does he will become your best buddy and will turn from a shy guy into a velcro cat.

Ares is the brother of Ariel, and although it is not required for them to go together it would certainly be nice. Unfortunately, Ares did test positive for FIV, but with his sweet personality and gentle demeanor he can still live with non-FIV cats. Ares is OK with well-behaved dogs and calm children, although he will need introduced slowly.
